Fellows of the International Medical Association are members of an international professional community committed to advancing medicine, healthcare education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Subject to the Association’s rules and availability, Fellows are entitled to:
- Use the post-nominal designation FIMA while their membership remains active;
- Receive a digitally verifiable Fellowship certificate;
- Access selected educational events, webinars and professional resources;
- Receive preferential registration for conferences and professional development programmes;
- Join professional Sections, committees and working groups, subject to eligibility and selection;
- Apply to serve as a speaker, mentor, reviewer or committee member;
- Submit professional and academic content for consideration by the Association;
- Participate in international networking and collaborative opportunities;
- Vote and stand for eligible offices where permitted by the Association’s constitution;
- Receive Fellow-only communications, recognition opportunities and partner benefits.
The FIMA designation signifies active Fellowship of the International Medical Association. It does not constitute an academic degree, specialist certification, medical licence or authorisation to practise medicine.
