Our Objective
Established in 1880, the International Medical Association (IMA) is dedicated to enhancing global healthcare through collaboration and innovation. The association is committed to creating a healthier future for all, upholding the core values of integrity, compassion, and respect for every individual. The IMA is highly respected worldwide and has attracted a vast membership with members in over 20 countries. Its primary responsibilities include certifying medical professionals and institutions, providing medical training, and continuing education. The IMA is also guided by five core development areas.
Our Mission
IMA’s development strategy is focused on the following five core areas to advance the medical field:
Leading Global Consensus Development: Uniting the expertise of the global medical community to lead and establish crucial global and regional medical consensuses, ensuring uniformity and efficiency in healthcare practices worldwide.
Building Academic Exchange Platforms: Organizing high-level international conferences, symposiums, and online forums to facilitate knowledge sharing and intellectual collaboration among medical experts, researchers, and clinicians.
Promoting Interdisciplinary Research: Encouraging and supporting collaborative research across disciplines and fields to accelerate the translation of new medical discoveries and address complex health challenges.
Advocating for Ethics and Social Responsibility: Actively promoting the establishment and popularization of medical ethics standards to ensure healthcare practices operate within a moral and legal framework, and guiding the medical community to embrace greater social responsibility.
